Office Manager/ Paralegal

Tasks and Responsibilities: 
•    Oversee office operations
•    Legal & Finance department support
•    Coordinate payroll with bookkeeper

Paralegal

We are seeking a full time Paralegal and/or Legal Administrative Assistant to work in our Business Law and Collections group. This position includes, but is not limited to keeping electronic files organized, monitoring calendars, meeting deadlines, drafting and preparing documentation, conducting research on various local and federal government websites, docketing deadlines, and meeting with clients.
A qualified candidate should possess the following:
•    Associate’s degree (in paralegal studies and/or certificate in paralegal studies preferred);
•    Must have at least 1-3 years of experience as a Consumer Collections Paralegal in a law firm, (Paralegals with business litigation                   experience may be considered);
•    Experience with Indiana and Marion County Superior Court filing procedures required;
•    Knowledge of FDCPA rules and regulations required;
•    Must have experience with the consumer collections process, such as filing and serving Demands, Complaints, Summonses,                       Pleadings, Motions for Summary Judgment, Wage Attachment documents, Executions, Citations, Judgment, and Post-Judgment                 documents;
•    Experience communicating with clients, providing client updates, processing mail, scanning, copying, and indexing documents;
•    Ability to maintain court and coverage calendars and adhere to and track critical deadlines is required;
•    Ability to anticipate future needs and take initiative;
•    Understanding of law office policies and procedures including tracking time and filing; 
•    Ability to organize and verify the accuracy and completeness of documentation; attention to detail is critical.
